2. Why did Dad groan when he looked at the road ahead?because the dirt was slowing him down 
3. Why was the truck taking up the whole road? Because it’s a big vehicle and it’s very slow  
4. Why did Eva want Dad to overtake the very wide load?because she didn't want her mom to be worry about them and that she didn’t want to be late 
5. Why would it have been dangerous to try to overtake the very wide load?because the police were behind them. And the truck might drive into their car and make them crash because the truck is so  big

7. Why did Dad say to try sending the message again when they were closer to town?so that they can get connection

9. Why do police and pilot vehicles need to travel with wide loads on the highway?so the trucks can deliver the stuff on the truck to wherever they need to drop the stuff at.
